- Subject: Gem a memory hog...
-
-
- Why does gem [when started up by MiNT] use ~500K of ram?
-
- If I start {FSM,Font}GDOS, then start MiNT which in turn starts GEM,
- I get the {FSM,Font}GDOS using 300K, and GEM using ~550K, which leaves
- me with a 3 meg machine? If I then run something like Gemini as an
- alternate desktop I am down to 2.5 meg. Seems like I MiNT forces GEM and
- Gemini to swell up for some reason. The both take up much smaller amounts
- of memory when MiNT is not running.
-
-
- Cheers,
- Scott.
